ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNITL 9AM ON TUESDAY OCTOBER 7th
This years running of the US Open Wheel Championships will take place at C&S Raceway in Cherryville, NC. Many improvements have been made to the facility since last years event that will help make this years events one of the finest ever. A new on site hobby shop as well as more pit spaces with better amenities are all currently in the works.
We have chosen to replace the stock classes this year with 13.5 DODC Spec Brushless classes including a 13.5 DODC Spec Latemodel class that is new for this year. This will be the first major race that will utilize the new dirtoval.com rules format for all classes. We have opted to use this rules package as we feel in a short time it will become the standard for 1/10th dirt oval rules throughout the country. Already the WDRA, PA Nitro Tour, ECDOS, NSCS and the February Freeze have commited to using this same rules package. To help ease the inital expense for the 13.5 racers we have worked out a special program with track owner Steve Bess and DirtOval.com to provide the 13.5 racers with a great deal for their racing dollar. The entry fee for these classes will be $135.00 which will include race entry fee, DODC Spec Brushless motor and DODC Spec Li-Po battery. Motors and batteries should be available around the 1st week of November.
We are very pleased to announce that Scotty Ernst will be back once again to act as our announcer and race director. Scotty is without a doubt the best RC race announcer anywhere and we are always honored to have him as a part of our event.
The 3rd Annual C&S Raceway Fall classic will be the warmup race for this event and will be held October 24th - 25th. You can find more info on this event at www.csraceway.com
